getting ready for spring!

Thank you for the beach hats Grandma Hyatt! (Sophie loves her hat too, she was still sleeping when we took pictures)

the great blur

If you ever wonder why there are so few photos posted, (and you are charitable to overlook my lax-ness), consider this: 90% of the pictures I take look like these. squiggle worms.

solid food!

These photos are of our Sweet Potato fun. I don't think you would call it a smashing success, but we're practicing! We also have a video of them eating Rice Cereal if I can get it to load. . .

. . . more help

These may be more helpful photos. They're more recent and they show all of the girls' faces. Sophie is in the darker shirt and Maya is in the lighter one.

how to tell the girls apart

A lot of people ask us how we tell the girls apart. There's no really easy way, they are just subtly different. Its easier when they smile, because they have different smiles, and its a lot harder when they're all bundled up in hats, jackets etc. Its also really hard to tell using photographs. They just look different in reality. Having disclaimer-ed my explanation thoroughly, here goes. I posted these two pictures because they are the same, but each is a different kid. I know it seems like a trick, it's really the same kid, right? Maya has the pacifier, she wouldn't sit still in the hat without it. She has slightly rounder eyes and they're a little bit wider-set. Sophie has more almond-shaped eyes and this smile and mouth is a signature Sophie look. Its hard to tell with the hats, but Sophie has a rounder shaped head and broader forehead. They have slightly different cheekbones, but I'm not sure how. That's all I can think of. If you think I'm making it all up, you could be right. I mean, they are twins aren't they?
